The starting point of the project is the cushion.

A textile object par excellence, it is often perceived as an accessory, almost secondary. The idea was to reverse this logic and make it the essential element of the sofa.

The textile no longer dresses an existing structure: it builds the project, defines its volumes, its use and its identity.

PILO is a sofa where textile becomes the main structural element. By taking the cushion, a textile object par excellence, and making it omnipresent and indispensable, the project questions the role of textile in furniture: no longer as a simple covering, but as a constructive material.

Our sofa fully embraces the "100% textile" theme by proposing a change in the status of the material. The textile is no longer a skin, but an active material, capable of structuring, supporting and defining the identity of the sofa. The cushion, usually an accessory, becomes the very architecture of the project.
