Product details

Material: PLA made from upcycled organic and mineral residues.

Dimensions: H 46 × W 12.5 × D 12.5 cm.

Bulb type: LED tubular E27 185 mm ×2 ( not included).

Care instructions:

- As a bioplastic, PLA is sensitive to heat – do not expose it to high heat sources.
- LED bulbs only! Using halogen bulbs is strictly prohibited and will void the warranty.
- Clean with a soft, dry cloth.
- Always turn off the power before handling.

Description

Diplo is a bi-directional wall light, 3D-printed using PLA, a biomaterial made from corn and/or wheat starch, as well as recycled organic or mineral residues.

Its shape is inspired by Diploria labyrintiformis, also known as brain coral. It also references Henri Matisse’s seaweed drawings, a tribute to his love for the French Riviera.

The corn or wheat starch used to produce PLA spools is derived from upcycled agricultural waste from the food industry.

The two removable lampshades are made from PLA incorporating recycled scallop shells, sourced from Normandy’s restaurant recycling program.
