Lunar Lumin

Lunar Lumin centres around a natural ostrich egg, suspended from a sculptural wooden frame. The egg is gently topped with a turned cap, and the burgundy textile cord is celebrated as part of the design, curving and becoming an integral part of the composition.

The ostrich egg has a subtly dimpled, pebbled surface, reminiscent of fine porcelain with a faint, natural sheen. Slightly uneven, it carries small crater-like markings that give it a tactile, organic quality. When lit from within, the shell becomes softly translucent, allowing light to diffuse through the material. Shadows move gently across the surface, adding depth and creating a quiet, lunar atmosphere.

The piece is defined by a sequence of clear, considered geometries: the linear wooden support, the turned cap, and the distinct form of the egg itself.
