Description
The Diplo table lamp is 3D-printed using PLA, a biomaterial made from corn and/or wheat starch, as well as recycled organic or mineral residues.
Its shape is inspired by Diploria labyrintiformis, also known as brain coral. It also references Matisse’s seaweed drawings, a tribute to his love for the French Riviera.
The corn or wheat starch used to produce PLA spools is derived from upcycled agricultural waste from the food industry.
The removable lampshade is made from PLA incorporating recycled scallop shells, sourced from Normandy’s restaurant recycling program.
The base is available in three colors:
- Green: PLA made from beets, minerals, and pigments.
- Terracotta: PLA made from recycled crushed bricks.
- Black: PLA made from recycled crushed slate.
